FOR THE PEOPLE PLAYING AND RUNNING THE LEAGUE

Your league.
Your questions.

Keep your league website and your usual routine. Here is how players and captains can explore their season with EloCup, along with details for self-run club competitions.

For players and team captains

What is EloCup Track?

Track gives players and captains another way to explore player progress, partnerships and team performance. Keep your league website and your usual scheduling, score-reporting and team communication routine.

Do I need an account or an app?

You can browse league standings, find your player profile and share page links without signing up or downloading an app. Verified ownership, profile edits and admin actions require sign-in and approval.

Where do the scores and standings come from?

Match results are compiled from publicly available league records and player-submitted information. EloCup is an independent analytics service, not affiliated with or endorsed by any participating league. Official standings and point totals are governed exclusively by each league’s rules. EloCup ratings are independent performance estimates derived from recorded line match play.

How are my Elo rating and rank calculated?

Ratings compare your pair’s pre-match Elo with the opposing pair and adjust after an eligible result. Each league has its own rating model. WAIT currently uses v4: players begin at 1,200, receive K=48 for their first four rated matches and K=24 afterward, with scoreline weighting. Open “How ratings work” (“Ratings explained” in compact layouts) on your division’s ratings page for the ranking rules. EloCup ratings are separate from USTA, UTR and official league classifications.

Can a captain use Track to plan a lineup?

Team pages show court records, line performance, partner results and lineup suggestions based on recorded matches. Use these as supporting evidence alongside availability and your knowledge of the players. Small samples and unfamiliar pairings need judgment.

How do I share a player profile or match?

Copy the page URL, or use a share or copy control where shown. Profiles and match receipts have direct links, so teammates can open the same result without creating an account.

How can I correct a score or claim my profile?

Use the claim or correction controls on your profile where available. Verified requests are reviewed before changes or access are granted. For score discrepancies, include the official source and match details. Official results should also be corrected with the league that published them.

For clubs and league organizers

How is EloCup Manage different from Track?

Track follows an existing league while its participants keep their usual league tools and routine. Manage, also called EloCup for Clubs, is a separate setup option for self-run club competitions, with its own rosters, schedules, score entry and organizer tools. It is not required to use Track.

Do we need to change our league software or routine?

Keep your existing league software. Continue scheduling, reporting scores, handling official corrections and communicating with teammates exactly as you do today. Following an existing league with Track does not require moving the league or entering the same scores again.

How do I get my team, club or league added?

Tell us which league or team you would like to explore, your season or division, and which insights would be useful. We can help you find the relevant views or discuss the next steps. A self-run club competition has a separate setup process.

Who can claim league or club admin access?

An authorized coordinator, commissioner or club administrator can request access. The branded admin page lets you prepare an email with your role and verification details. EloCup confirms authority before granting permissions. WAIT league admin lives on elocup.com, separate from any participating club’s hub.

Are club and league admin permissions separate?

Club admins manage their club hub. League or competition admins manage their approved competition. A team captain’s authority does not automatically give control over an outside league or another club.

Can we use WhatsApp, GroupMe or text messages for availability and scores?

Connected chat intake and availability bots are planned, but are not active submission channels today. Continue using your existing team communication and official score process until a supported integration is available.

What does EloCup cost?

EloCup is currently free to use.

How awards work

Award explanations tell you why someone earned the badge. These are the qualification details behind them. Awards follow the selected competition and season.

Upset wins

Manage compares the pairs using their original draft ratings. Track uses ratings from before the match. Only eligible completed underdog wins count, and both partners receive one win. Defaults, retirements and results without the required rating evidence are excluded.

Season honors require at least two upset wins. We recognize the top three division ranks, or only first place when fewer than 25 players are active, and the top player on each team. Genuine ties are included. Track also requires at least two earlier rated matches for all four players before an upset counts toward season honors. A single match can still earn an upset highlight immediately.

Season and weekly risers

Season risers compare current ratings with the season starting ratings. Weekly risers compare the gains in the latest completed results week, including matches assigned to that week. A partially imported week does not replace the previous complete week. Only positive gains qualify; equal displayed gains share a rank. Team and division awards compare the appropriate player groups.

Other awards

Elo leaders have the highest current ratings in the relevant team or division. Draft Steals compare the original draft position with the current rank, using the same group of players. Game Dominance compares games won, with match-tiebreak points excluded; the league’s award may use games won percentage or games won per game lost.

Point Machine requires at least three appearances and a leading win total. Dynamic Duo requires at least three matches together and a win rate of at least 67%. Clutch Performer requires at least four close matches and a win rate of at least 75% in those matches. Dinner’s on the House requires an undefeated record across at least four matches, or at least six matches played with a win rate of at least 85%.

Court Mileage recognizes participation and sets played, with games used where needed to break ties. Bagels and Breadsticks count 6-0 and 6-1 sets; both partners receive credit. Minimum appearances and tie-break rules can differ by league and award.
